What is the best way to store my pH electrode?

It is essential that you take care of this sensitive piece of equipment. Remember that pH electrodes must be kept wet because they will no longer work if they are allowed to dry out for more than six months. The right storage solution is essential for constant ion activity in the sensing part of the electrode; a few drops of potassium chloride electrolyte placed in the protection cap will ensure that the glass membrane is kept hydrated.

Do not use deionized or distilled water for storage!
